Chicken and Waffles: The Bible Podcast for Preteens

About

If you are a preteen between the ages of 9 and 12 who wants to live a unique and unforgettable life, then join Pastor Michael as he shows you how to apply biblical truth in your family, neighborhood, and school.

In each episode, you will be immersed in the story of scripture and be challenged to answer two simple questions: First, “What does it mean?” (That’s the chicken), and second, “What should I do?” (There’s your waffle). If you’re ready to learn exciting truths from the Bible, discover adventure by applying God’s directions to your life, and laugh all along the way, then join Pastor Michael every Monday and Thursday for new episodes!

Statement of Beliefs

I believe in the existence of one God, who reveals himself in three distinct persons - the Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.

I believe that people are separated from God because of sin. God loves people so much that he sent Jesus to earth to be the perfect sacrifice for all of humanity. After being crucified on the cross, Jesus rose from the dead three days later and ascended into Heaven.

I believe that the confession of sins and acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior is the only way for people to be saved and have a personal relationship with God.

I believe the Bible is God's perfect word for humanity, and it is completely trustworthy and true.

Michael Pritchard

Michael Pritchard is the host of Chicken and Waffles: The Bible Podcast for Preteens, where he combines faith and fun to help preteens connect with God’s Word. For nearly ten years, Michael was the Preteen Pastor at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, where he taught hundreds of preteens to dive into the Bible—sometimes by riding big wheels, freestyling hip-hop songs, or even eating crickets!

Now, Michael writes for Bellevue and Lifeway, creating resources used by families and churches nationwide. He also speaks at summer camps and special events, bringing energy, laughs, and biblical truth to kids and families.

Michael is married to Christy, and together, they’re raising two boys who ensure life is always an adventure. Whether teaching, cheering on his boys, or convincing others that waffles are superior to pancakes, Michael loves helping others experience God’s love in real, tangible ways.
